Nationwide experience. Now in Middle Tennessee.

Fifty years of coatings work in some of the harshest climates in the country, for BP, ConocoPhillips, Kiewit, Fluor and the United States Armed Forces. Proformance Floors brings that same standard to every warehouse, showroom and garage in Middle Tennessee.

Built for the floors that take a beating.

Forklifts, chemicals, foot traffic, wash downs. Every system is picked for what the floor actually has to survive.

Polished concrete floor in a large commercial interior

Polished concrete

Grind, hone, densify and polish. A dusting, pitted slab becomes a hard, sealed, reflective floor that cleans with a mop and holds up for years. Matte to high gloss, with optional stain and dye.

  • Warehouses, retail, showrooms and offices
  • Densifier hardens the slab and stops dusting for good
  • Virtually dust free with HEPA extraction
Warehouse floor with fresh yellow line striping

Industrial coatings

Epoxy, polyurea, polyaspartic, urethane and methyl methacrylate. Chemical resistance, impact resistance and fast return to service for plants, shops, kitchens and loading docks.

  • Line striping, safety zones and slip resistant texture
  • Quartz broadcast for wet and heavy duty areas
  • Fast cure systems when the facility has to stay open
Blue metallic epoxy floor with reflections from overhead lights

Metallic and decorative

Metallic epoxy, stains and dyes for lobbies, showrooms, restaurants and retail. Industrial durability underneath, a finish people stop and look at on top.

  • Metallic pours in any color
  • Stained and dyed concrete
  • Decorative flake and quartz
Diamond grinder and HEPA vacuum at work on a concrete slab

Repair and prep

Coating removal, crack and joint repair, hydraulic and polymer cement patching, and full slab profiling. The prep is the job. Everything on top depends on it.

  • Old coating and adhesive removal
  • Crack, joint and spall repair
  • Uneven slabs brought back to level

Also: grind and seal, concrete rehab, safety floors and striping, driveway wash and seal, and urethane cement for kitchens, food plants and wash bays.

Fifty years of catching what other installers miss.

Most floor failures are prep failures. Acid washing and pressure washing leave the concrete closed, so the coating sits on the surface instead of bonding into it. That is why the kit from the big box store lifts in a year.

Proformance opens every slab with a Husqvarna PG 820 diamond grinder that weighs over a thousand pounds, tied to a Husqvarna HEPA vacuum system. The floor is profiled the way industrial epoxy needs it, the work area stays virtually dust free, and what goes down stays down.

The man behind Proformance.

Proformance Floors is run by Craig Simon, fifty years in floors. He has run coatings crews on the North Slope of Alaska and in the Arizona desert, and put in floors for BP, ConocoPhillips, Kiewit and Fluor. Proformance is based in Clarksville and works the whole region.

He still gets most of his work the old way: driving past a job site, walking in and talking to the foreman. He inspects every floor in person before he prices it, tells you what it needs, and is on every job.

Work hard and be productive, be fair and honest, go above and beyond, and take pride in the work you do.

★★★★★

Will use Proformance floors again and recommend them to anyone needing a flooring treatment. Mr. Simon was very quick to get a quote to me, and without the mark up that a few other installers quoted me. The quality and price are unmatched. I could not be happier with the floor, pictures dont do it justice. His work is clean, timely, and professional.

Craig and his team did an outstanding job epoxying our garage floor. He was also prompt with correcting a few minor issues after the job was done. We give Proformance Floors our highest recommendation and are looking forward to working with Craig on future flooring and concrete projects for our home.

Craig and his son-in-law Jared did a great job of prepping our garage floor and installing the epoxy with colored flakes. They even did the 2 block high foundation and it looks really nice. We were very happy with the work as well as how quickly they were able to start the work following the quote.

Craig and his Son-in-law did an outstanding job on my garage floor. We are really happy with the result, it really changes the entire look of the garage. They were able to get right out and complete the job, days after requesting a quote. This allowed us to have the job done before moving into the new house. We highly recommend their services!

Questions we get asked.

How much does epoxy or polished concrete cost?
Floors run $2 to $18 per square foot installed. A grind and seal sits at the low end. Polished concrete, industrial coatings and decorative finishes run higher, depending on how much prep the slab needs, which system goes down, and the size of the floor. We inspect the floor and give a personalized estimate free of charge.
Why does floor prep matter so much?
The concrete has to be opened up so the coating penetrates and bonds. Acid washing and pressure washing leave the surface closed, which is why kit floors peel. We profile every slab with a 1,000 lb Husqvarna PG 820 grinder before anything goes down.
Is the grinding dusty?
The grinder runs on a Husqvarna HEPA vacuum system, so the work area stays virtually dust free. Shelves, product and equipment nearby stay clean.
How fast can we get back on the floor?
Polyurea and polyaspartic systems cure fast and are the usual choice when a facility needs a quick return to service. Epoxy takes longer. We schedule around your operation and tell you the return time before work starts.
What is the difference between epoxy, polyurea and polyaspartic?
They look alike and hold up alike. Industrial epoxy is the workhorse and lasts a very long time when installed correctly. Polyurea and polyaspartic cost a little more and cure much faster, so the floor is back in use sooner.
